Yeaa I picked mine up for £800 just over a year ago, failed its first MOT because of its headlight pattern :confused: lol but nothing ever wrong since, and I really cane it around lol. Easy to service, predictable handling and dont mind being thrashed. Oh and the boots mahoosive :D The Vectra does have a nice dash and some v fancy gubbins, the trip computer telling you how many miles are left in the tank is the most useful thing ever! :) Feels like its on rails too. Just the reliability and the cost of parts and service whioch let it down. Was gonna do a grounding kit for it but have you seen the battery negative :rolleyes: Its like M6 Junction 6 lol

LOL I've got a Mondeo 1.8 - highly recommended :bow: The Vectra belongs to the Mrs. Its the 2.0litre 140SRi.

Yeah I heard that about Vauxhalls too, didn't stop us buying it though :D It is a really nice car, v quick for an estate and with the TC on you can get great oversteer on roundabouts :rofl: I might add up the receipts some time, it would dwarfs Maccas lol, maybe not.

TBH It has done nearly 140,000 miles :eek: The FVSH is amazing though - it was a lease car, so no expense spared on parts/service.

Mind if I vent a bit of anger? When we bought our Vectra SRi about a year ago it had just had its full cambelt service costing £500odd to the prev owner. Nice. 6 months later the water pump leaks water everywhere, it wasn't changed with the cambelt service :mad: Cambelt off and cost £200odd to us. The "engine electrics light" came on the other day, car went into a safety mode and wouldn't rev v high and cut off a couple of times. Restarted fine though. Its just gone into Vauxhall and (for £60 :xxx: ) they hooked it up to their diagnostic (ie Vauxhall ConZult) which said the camshaft sensor is dicky. Result, cambelt off and £165 - arghhh! :mad: Although they did say they wont charge the £60 they worked so hard for. Bloody Vauxhalls :xxx: Thanks for listening ;)
