Z31 Owner says hello!
Wes'side  I dont get to drive the zed to work that often, but am bringing it in every day now til I get the Mondeo MOT'ed (lazy...) Now I've passed this light blue 300ZX Z31 loadsa times before and flashed or waved to him on most occasions, but no reaction :(. And this morning he acknowledged me  Its the only one I've seen on the road. I quite like them, a bit (a lot?) dated but v retro. Anyone ever driven one? Pete

Ahhh the radiator is different I think sorry LOL, do you know if the drain plugs are interchangeable? Anyone know? Cheers :o Pete

Help big problem
Presuming your car is a TT... On the left hand side (facing the engine from the front) of the top of the radiator end tank theres a plastic phillips head screw - this is the bleed screw. Unscrew this, dont lose it tho(!), and it lets air out while you pour coolant into the rad cap hole on the RHS.
-
Help big problem
Yeah you will have to top it up a fair few times, do it slowly with the car running and the bleed screw off. When the water heats up, it'll start coming over the top...then put the screw and rad cap back on. You will need to check it again a few hours later and repeat if necessary (probably will be necessary). Topping a 300ZX up with water/coolant is a PITA, but worth doing properly to keep air pockets out.

Rear strut brace fitted
Cheers Stu - yeah a small gaitor might be a good way to do it. I also thought of buying a circular rubber grommit and trimming it to fit, dunno tho, some thinking required. Mine is oval shaped in cross-section, so I think it's a different one to yours. Will have some pics tomorrow.

Removing Cambelt cover?

Help big problem
I've got a spare rad drain plug, with the hose that comes off it, if you want it? :) Hopefully its the thread on the plug thats stripped and not your rad thread. Although you could still glue it in - a lot of people simply pull off the lower rad pipe bottm end to empty the rad- much quicker than the drain plug. If you want the bit, PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post when I get home :) Pete

Rear strut brace fitted
LOL  I'd like to get it engraved with "300ZX" or something - but there's no way I'm removing it LOL ;) Might get a clear sticker designed for it. Pete

Removing Cambelt cover?
Hello, I want to spray my cambelt cover - to match the other bits I've colourcoded (again...pics soon :D ) How is this removed? Just a few nuts and bolts, or do any of the water pipes have to be moved? Cheers Pete

Rear strut brace fitted
What an arse of a job that was  Took me and a mate about 3 hours last night to fit the bugger. Getting the trim back on is the hard bit. I was trying to keep the hole in the susp tower trim as small as poss, whilst being able to access the strut brace nut and bolt, and get the trim back on over the back seat clip thingy  Did it in the end, will post some pics up when I get them off me mate. Looks lovely, and I think I can feel some difference in driving, not a much roll round bends, maybe I'm imagining it tho, but I think there is improvement. Stu (SMW) - have you covered the holes with anything yet - what have you used? Cheers Pete
