Nope no TC mate :) Heated the tyres up with a bit of a "stationary acceleration" ;) while I was waiting to go - that reeeeeally helps the grip. Massively. Pete

No PB today unfortunately - knew I should have taken the spare wheel out lol ;) 1st run 13.793@104.56 - beat a manual red zed by 2.4s & 23mph   2nd run 13.804@105.33 - beat a UK auto zed by 2.98s & 19mph ;) 3rd run 13.938@105.00mph - peat a Punto Arbarth thing by 2.9s & 19mph Pretty pleased as I managed to keep wheelspin down to a minimum and perfect a two footed launch which I used to mess up :) Bearing this in mind I'm surprised I didnt get closer to my best as the car felt at its best. Bit of blue smoke from the left exhaust whilst idling in the queue which went away - smelt v chemical so I optimistically put that down to the shedload of octane boost I put in the tank. Dunno why I got worse and worse as the day went on tho lol  Air temp maybe...dunno. The opposition that was there (where was everyone???) wasnt up to much eh lads ;) You know who you are :D Only kidding :p Cheers Pete

Fitting a strut brace
Hi Scotty - cheers :) I did cut through the trim over the rear strut towers. Used a drill to cut loadsa holes after I'd lined it up and marked the holes out, then neatened it up with a small file. Took a while ;) I used circles of vinyl to cover the holes afterwards, with notches cut out for the strut bar. Hardest bit is getting all the trim back on after its fitted, requires lots of patience! sensor connectors
LOL Then fit a 300ZX grounding kit (from Chris) and have another new car  Pete
-
sensor connectors
Yeah carefully lol, use a small flathead screwdriver and lots of fingers to make sure you dont flick the clip into the innards of the engine bay. Then use a small file/brush and/or connector cleaner spray to carefully shine up the conntacts on both sides. Dirty connectors are a very common cause of sluggishness and hesitation on acceleration. Make sure you do the temp sensors, PTU, CAS, TPS, they're all easy. For the PTU and CAS its easier if you remove the throttle body intake hoses, and then you can clean up your throttle bodies while you are there ;) Another cause of hesitation. Then you'll have a new car :D:D:D  HTH Pete

Who has the most powerful Zed on this Forum?
Ask that question next Sunday ;) I dont think anyone is running that high a BHP, maybe a few over 500BHP but most of them are "work in progress" at the moment lol ;)

Your favourite jap car, other than the 300ZX?
Am I the only one who thinks RX-7s look horrible? I respect their tuning potential and wouldnt say no to a free one ;) but looks arent their strongest asset. Honda NSX for me, then Skyline R33 GTR, MR2 third.
