went to bed last night about 11pm to watch a bit of telly turned off the light at about 12.30 and was drifting off to sleep when i heard a really loud bang from round the back of the house got up to investigate and from the side upstairs window of the house i saw that of the 3 garages round the back one of them had the door hanging off so i rang the police expecting to be told that they would send someone round in the morning when our lass called me into the bedroom where 3 lads were walking up past our house taking balaclavas off , i was still on the phone to the police so i told them about these 3 chaps , i rang my mate whos dad rents the garage off the council ( didnt want to knock his dad up cos hes over 80 ) and he came up after about 5 minutes 2 police cars turned up and informed me that they had stopped 2 lads matching the description i had given over the phone and would we give a statement to them , which i did , i then told them that my mates dad had cctv cameras trained on the 3 garages so the copper shot off to wake up my mates dad to see if there was anything on film it turns out that these 3 bozo's had been trying to get into the garage for 25 minutes and had resorted to hanging off the top of the doors and ragging on them till they came off, hence the huge bang they then had run off as a dog had started barking so they stole nothing , i ended up waiting with my mate till the emergency boarding up dudes arrived before i went back in needless to say it was half past four when i got to bed but i was wondering what goes on in some peoples heads surely at that time any noise in a small cul-de-sac would be amplified and why make so much noise the 2 lads the police stopped have been arrested on something or other and its a good job my lass wouldnt let me go out after them ( which i was going to do when i saw them walk past my house ) as one of them had a brick in a sock and the other had 2 screwdrivers and a stanley knife what is the world coming to early night for me tonight fingers crossed no more crimefighting to do or else im getting a costume lol

mate thats wicked news between 10 and 10-30 am i would say gives us time for a nice drive up to meet the other northern northeners lol
