  2. Hi All, Having a hell of a job getting standard rears for some reason. Am I ordering the right size 245 45 16?. Anyone know any other but Nexen and Toyos and where from?. Cheers.

I'd be there but it's grand prix weekend!. Next time.
  5. No you've got nothing to feel guilty about. I have no doubt he's a good mechanic but the Z is quite specialised. He charged me just over £300 which was cheap enough and he was quick to fix it but I don't think he should have let it out of the garage like that. It was making a really bad noise. Hey ho these things happen. Chers.
  6. Vafanculo ya muppet! FOUL good lord!!.
  7. Hey Leigh, I took my Z to T&S to get the suspension fitted and he did a fair enough job on that but he gave it back to me with a knackered suspension top bush fitted. I had to take it back and he charged me extra to change it. The worst part though, what a bloody mess he left in the car. My steering wheel is covered in oil. The back seats are covered in what looks like sand. I am particularly pissed off with that because my interior is mint. He didn't put the back speakers in right and shorted out my brand new Kenwood (luckily it has protection) and he had no idea about TPS or idling solutions. Not very impressed.
  8. I'm having a hell of a job finding rear tyres. Anyone know anywhere that doesn't only sell Nexen and Toyos?. Or if not, are the Nexens any good?. Probably not being so cheap!. Cheers.
  9. Cheers guys, going out with my measuring wheel and camera at the weekend and going to fight it.
  10. Why thanks tmttp my pooper is well and truly rapped!.
  11.:rant::rant: Hi, I was making my way back from Stranraer to Teeside last week. It was 10:45pm when I was travelling down the A66 towards Stockton/Middlesbrough. The speed goes down from 70 to 50 and I slowed accordingly. There is a 80 degree bend in the dual carriageway and as I was half way round it I spotted a patrol car in front of me. I want to point out at this time that as I spotted him, his window was closed and his vehicle was moving. He came out straight after me and pulled me over. He explained about the 50 mph limit and that this particular stretch of dual carriageway was at 50 mph to allow people to get onto the road from the slip roads safely. I pointed out to him that it was 11 in the evening and that there was no traffic trying to get onto the main road and anyway, I wasn't speeding. At that, he picked up his speed gun and it had 74 mph on the display!. He told me his hands were tied and there was nothing he could do so I asked him if the gun worked through closed windows. He said it wasn't relevant because his window was open. I can assure it was not!. My wife and I both saw it and I got her out of our car to tell him. He also said he had me at 285 feet. I don't think so, not on that bend. Nothing would sway him and I feel totally robbed. I was in a new very capable car on a dry road doing the speed limit and he still did me. So here's my questions: Does the speed gun work through closed windows?. Is the date and time of the recording stored in the camera?. Does the officer have discretion in these cases?. If so, I think he took the reading off another vehicle and was getting his "tally" up for the week or whatever. Totally pissed off, my new car arrives next month and because of this the insurance has gone up by over a £100.
  12. Hi all, Just got a new problem. When the car is cold and I stop anywhere, the revs dip to almost zero and then it coughs and the fan belt starts squealing. The fan belt keeps squealing until a fan cuts in ( I can hear it) and the it stops. The belts are all tight. It also idles way too fast sometimes but that's only when it's hot  Any ideas?. Cheers.
  13. It's working but my door panel is still in the boot and I really can't be arsed to put it all back together yet.
  14. DOH!. I took the door to bits to check the motor. I have checked the window and it works. Are you suggesting I drive around with the door in bits?.
  15. BAAASTAARD!!!. Now I'll have to rebuild the door and most of the clips are crushed. I REALLY SUCK!!. Thanks for the help though guys. Cheers.
  16. No sorry I haven's disconnected the drivers door switch but there is a very good chance that the pass door window isolation switch is down with me cleaning it. I meant, if it is down does it disable the driver and passenger window switch for the passenger window?. or should I still be able to operate the pass window from the drivers door? Cheers.
  17. OH NO!!!. Does that effect both switches. I had just polished the interior. Damn f**k I have taken the door to bits!. Please tell me that's not it!. I SUCK!.
  18. Hi All, I removed my old ICE unit at the weekend ready for the new one and after I had finished, the passenger window would not close?. They cannot be connected surely?. I cannot find a fuse either. Apart from the motor suddenly giving up the ghost, is there anywhere else it can lose supply from i.e a fuse that I don't know about. Cheers.
  19. Well I've got a Z centre spoiler and it fits just fine!.
  20. Nice Lotus there. Always wanted one of those. Was this in Wahington?.
