Is this overpriced?
Ok nice one! Dunno how they are going to shift that one. I was also looking at this..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1993-Nissan-300-ZX-Twin-Turbo-SWB_W0QQitemZ300203730377QQihZ020QQcategoryZ18238QQcmdZViewItem But the fact its an auto puts me off a little. Still, just under £3K would get me that. Ive been looking at Z's for a LONG time now, and in an ideal world I fancy a TT SWB manual in silver... Ive come to the conclusion I just aint gonna get one!

Still seems like alot to me, but to you guys, is that the usual for a late model? Also is that Series down on power with the different valving on the later ones? (or whatever it was that was changed for the emissions) Thanks

Any reason NOT to buy this?
Ok fair enough. Will steer clear but keep an eye on what it goes for. If its pennies, people would have gone to view and been unimpressed. There was a nice looking Silver SWB with bronze volk wheels, really fancied that, but was out of my price range. Cheers for the replies.

Any reason NOT to buy this?
Hi, As you can probably see, im pretty new here (relatively speaking), and have been casually looking at 300ZX's for around 15 months. Ive given up on the idea of a mint TT silver SWB car with black leather! Ive only seen one. Also LWB might be a tad more practical. so.. Silver, black leather, low milage, etc etc... Can you guys see any reason NOT to buy this car.... (havent gone to have a look yet) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-fairlady_W0QQitemZ160211087596QQihZ006QQcategoryZ18238QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Ok the exhausts might be a bit crazy, but can you have the failures he has described at this sort of milage? Having said that.... I had a PAS pump go on my Rover 220 Coupe turbo at 19,000 miles. I gather the HICAS light is pretty common, could it just need a refill and bleed? (It IS hydraulic on that year isnt it?) Thanks for any replies in advance....... Ross

HERE:- http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/CARS_popup.asp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=none&sort=&hassearched=Y&make=NISSAN&min_pr=75&source=0&model=300+ZX&max_pr=&agerange=&mileage=&miles=1500&postcode=dd1+2ad&ukcarsearch_full.x=33&ukcarsearch_full.y=14&start=2&distance=346&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200647258678341 I see this alot, and wondered, at face value whether thats a good way of getting a cheap Z. Or is there no such thing... and the turbos are away to die, and the engines on its last legs? The price of Z's seems to vary wildly. Id be willing to part with cash for that type of car, given up on a SWB Sliver Hardtop! Too hard to find standard... Anyone got an opinion on the car above? I know you cant tell much from an Ad.

PM and subscription
Do you have to pay a subscription to PM people? Cheers Ross

SWB Imports?
Are all SWB models imports? I read somewhere that all TT UK cars were 2+2.... Is this true? Just need to find out to save me alot of time, as im really only interested in the SWB version. (like to be impractical!)

300ZX Acceleration times
Cool. Thanks for the information. Looks like the 1993 model time was alot of rubbish then! Unless someone different tested it in that year with some grippy tyres.

300ZX Acceleration times
I love my Rover turbo. Just not fast enough and its front wheel drive ...... 18,000 miles on the clock. Its a minter. Im keeping it, and want to run a Z. I was in a Brakedusts 300ZX on saturday night. Its running 410bhp + a 100 shot of nitrous. It was brutally fast. It was attracting crowds of onlookers! Hes only got a pair of T25's in there aswell.

300ZX Acceleration times
Hi guys, Joined the forum as im in the market for a 300ZX. Ideally im looking for an SWB Manual. Currently I drive a Rover 220 Coupe Turbo which is fairly quick. I am confused though as to the true performance figures for a 300ZX, as the following information shows a huge amount of discrepency. 1989 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 15.5 1990 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 15.5 1990 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 6.5 15.0 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 5.6 14.1 1991 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 7.5 15.9 1991 Nissan 300ZX Turbo (auto) 7.0 15.4 1992 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 5.7 14.2 1993 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 5.2 13.8 1994 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 6.0 14.4 1995 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 5.5 13.9 Can anyone explain? The 1993 model looks the one to have. No mention of SWB or not. The figures could always be alot of rubbish though. Any explanations would be most welcome if anyone has any! Ross
