  1. my n reg zx tt doesnt have a boost gauge in it, is this normal? im going to need a boost gauge so what do you reccommend? i want a turbo timer aswell and have seen a blitz DTT DC 4 IV dual turbo timer on ebay for £90, it says it has a built in digital boost gauge, is this the type i should be looking for? and has anyone got one fitted? i had a look at my car today and noticed its got a after market oil cooler fitted so thats one less job/expense :) also im looking for rear shocks, the car is fitted with kyb superstreet??? adjustable with 4 settings, while giving the car a thorough check over i noticed the weld on the lower mounting point on one rear shock to have cracked, do i need to change the full set of 4 shocks or is it ok to just change the rear two? who would you reccommend that sells shocks? what air filters would you reccommend? any advise will be appreciated

  3. i recognise that car, it's from around the corner from me. you got the body work done by a garage off daubhill known as "boomerang body shop" (jobs always come back) did you get the paintwork sorted in the end? i used to work at vinny's bodyshop thats near boomerang body shop when younger but now have my own bodyshop in leigh
  4. thats easily repairable i do these type of repairs alot in my body shop and make body kits and custom parts for honda crx's in fibre glass, all that needs doing is the damaged areas need securing together with metal plates and rivet/screws, and new fibre glass laying once the fibre glass has hardened you remove the rivet/screws and prepare like you would with any body damage. i'd quote a job like that at £250 painted in standard nissan red
  5. thanks for the welcome. thanks turboz i've got a little car bodyshop in leigh so im very close astley so i'll pop down and have a chat with them about a cam belt. jason i got it very cheap through a px it's got no history but is very clean, saying that my friend just sold a h reg NA that stood him at £4500 for £800 he got it mot'd too and all it failed on was a tyre and a bulb, it was a very nice example too but he wanted a change and bought a bmw 525 estate
  6. i've been flashed twice for doing 30 in a 40 zone, both times i honestly believed i was in a 40 zone and both times i went to court and explained myself as to why i dont believe i should pay a fine and get points on my clean driving license. both times i got let off, i just say dont be scared of the courts just be nice and reasonable and the courts can be too. also if you get followed and get scared because you dont know if its a police car following you and they eventually stop you for speeding explain to them why you were speeding ( fear= wanting to get away fast) and more than likely they will threaten you with court...say ok and go to court. the police are not the law they are there to uphold the law so if they did something that caused you to break the law you will get let off. another example is if a police car is speeding with no flashing lights or siren he is breaking the law, so you can drive at a safe distance behind him and speed too and he cant do sh*t to you, just make sure theres no police cars behind you.
  7. hi there all !, i'm makki from bolton in the north west, i have just bought a n reg white 300zx tt it's my second 300zx i previously had a g reg blue 300zx NA which i had for 4 years and was my daily driver for over a year and never had 1 problem with it (apart from a clunk when lifting of the gas pedal). i'm a member of honda crx-uk and have owned 32 crxs and have 6 at the moment so you can say im a big crx fan but i love 300zx's just as much and couldnt resist buying my new twin turbo, i've been trawling through old posts and doing alot of searching and learnt alot :) ps: can anyone reccommend a good garage in the northwest to do a cambelt change?
