  1. Yep up in Sovereign Court
  2. You've seen more than me then!
  3. I am just round the corner, but work in Grangemouth!
  4. Wasn't mine (its blue) but I think I have seen yours parked in St Peters Drive, Armadale.
  5. I have just changed to Admiral Multi, now paying £600 for my UK 93 TT and Seat Alhambra 1.9TDI combined. On a seperate note beware as a guy round the corner from me got his car stolen from his drive on Monday. He had left it running and went to get a scraper (doh!) you can guess the rest. I have to own up to doing this quite often!!
  6. Soft southerners get the tops off!!
  7. Drove home from work today with the roof off, smiled all the way. Bought my Zed in October so this is only the second (first this year) the targas have been off in anger, PRAISE THE LORD FOR GIVING US THE ZED TT!!!!!
  8. I am thinking about getting a new alarm, I currently have a Clifford concept 500 that has gone a bit wonkie and is constantly making a loud ticking noise. This does not really bother me as the car is parked at the front of house and I sleep in the rear, but the people next door have complained that it is keeping them awake at night. My local accessory shop has quoted £279.00 to fit a Sigma S30 plus £40 to remove the Clifford. 1. Is the Sigma S30 any good? 2. Is this a fair price compared to other makes? I like the idea of using the local guy and paying a small premium (MRD Bathgate) as I like to support local traders and if it goes wrong I don't have to travel far to get it fixed.
  9. For this thickness of metal you only need argoshield light at 5% argon in co2. Argoshield Light; 5% argon, ballance co2 welds upto 3mm thick (car bodies). Argoshield Universal; 15% argon, ballance co2 welds from 3 to 8mm thick (gates & fences). Argoshield Heavy; 20% argon, ballance co2 welds 8mm and above (ships and the like). See if bigmincey can give you some scrap bits of metal as you will need lots of practice. The folder sound good, are you replacing the whole sill or just patching?
  10. Count me in, mine could do with a good poke & prod!!!!!!
  11. The only problem you may get is that they may melt (pool) at diferent times, this will cause the thinner sheet to run away (so to speak)from the thicker, adjusting you wire speed may stop this. As for the gas co2 is the cheap alternative but I can't understand why people would go down that route when they would spend mega money on mods. If I was you I would pop down to your local BOC I'm sure the guy that runs that place is realy nice (you know the one, I think he drives a blue Z and lives in West Lothian), you would be supprised at what he has kicking around his yard!! On that note I am sure I will be seeing you soon.
  12. I think the place in Bonnybridge is called Hypertec.
  13. Don't use co2 on its own as it is too cold, you need argon to allow proper penetration. All you get with co2 are lumps of filer metal on top of parent metals giving no real strength to weld. And it looks SH*T. Car was in at Cockburn Auto Electrics yesterday should be all fixed now fingers crossed. Alarm next!!!!!!
  14. Don't think it will matter very much, what proccess are you using (gas, mig or tig). Biggest problem will be the thin rusty bits.
  15. Funky if you can come fix my electrics your welcome to it! Ossian it was just the near side, but changed both. Car feels like brand new, do you know anyone who knows how to set tracking properly as most of the people I have used in the past don,t seem to have a clue and can never get the steering wheel straight!
  16. Appears to be one thing after an other, got the arms fixed yesterday. Don,t mind spending the money, just nobody wants my money!!
  17. Cheers guys, I have pulled the fuse now going to buy a gallon of petrol and set the fecker on fire!!!!!!
  18. Can someone tell me the easiest way to disconnect my horns, as they are going of by them self and can,t get a spark to assist at short notice. Is there a fuse I can pull without affecting anything else, if not where are they located so I can rip them out and jump on them!! :smash:
  19. Thanks for the information, car is booked in for a check on Saturday. If they are fractured they will be replaced asap!! Next time you are passing pop in, maybe I could help you out with what you were looking for. Cheers, Andy
  20. No smoke or burning so far!!!
  21. Having a prob with the lights on my UK spec Zed. Started with the fog light coming on by its self followed by the o/s main beam a couple of hours later, I took the car for a drive hoping this might dry things off, now when I switch the lights off the o/s main beam comes on and the n/s dip stays on. I have had to dissconect all the offending lamps as the car was sitting outside all lit up with now where to, can some please help? Also the boost gauge only works properly (I hope) when the lights are switched off.
