Anyone Here have a full, working original loom for a 92 na 2+2 do they....I’m thinking mine will need to be removed fully and replaced. It’s been butchered over the years, thinking this would be the easiest cure without further tampering/amendments ?. currently putting new belts, seals, Rad and hoses on ?

So, my foot well fuse was a 7.5. I changed that to a 10 as should be. I then traced the wires and found melted ones, so stripped them back and replaced them. New bulbs and all is now working well. Issue I now have found is, if the lights are on and the car is running, i turn the ignition off and the car remains running. If I then turn the lights off, then turn the ignition off it will turn the car off. I feel there is some wiring issues afoot here and I will slowly but surely work my way through them. next however is: coilpacks, spark plugs, timing belt, front crank seal, rocket gaskets and exhaust gaskets and vacuum hose replacement as I keep finding split ones. amazing this car is running at all really and I’ve already done 200km on it ?

Hi all. Anyone know of a good coil pack replacement/ upgrade or where to confidently buy stock replacements, think one is giving up ?

What did you do to your zed today?
Technically yesterday, but finally got all lights sorted as only main beam and brake lights were working. turned out that it had some melted wiring behind the light pod and in the boot they had linked a load of wires...wrong, oh and did I mention the blown 7.5 fuse...now replaced with a 10 as standard and all wiring chopped replaced, re-soldered, heat wrapped and connected, Bingo ?

Hello. I’m not exactly a newbie but I shall say I am. I joined here many years ago when I had a blue 300zx lwb tt manual. Over what must be +10years and many cars later, I’ve returned to the one car I could never get of my mind, obvs the Z. Marking the turn of UK independence, I thought it fitting that today I picked up my Jap import Z. This time a 1992 lwb na auto. I can’t be arsed with power chasing anymore so it will get a little attention. Has come with an exhaust, coilovers, and lots of damp. However there is minimal rust that I can see and has a few teething issues. currently has had a new alternator and and that’s it. Sitting currently at 94,400miles (I’ve converted that as reads in KM still). Has a skirts and a front bumper which are not to my taste, it will be going stock body so items are up for grabs. Vw Nardo grey Wrap (not professional). tonight I plumbed in the new heater matrix hoses so it blows hot air and albeit fiddly as hell, replaced a split water pipe that was under the plenum ?. Was fine until we tried the lazy auto burnout, but needs must. And put a genuine MAF on it. reset the TPS and idle, yet it missing at idle, and on very partial throttle it stutters like crazy. Unless it’s under load then it seems to be fine, therefore next on list is: plugs, service, timing and clean. Plus Remove carpet to dry out, then reassess. Then will be to sort the lights out. Seems that main beam is always on, no headlights, have brake lights, no rear lights, (fixed the indicators as was a poo connection) and work out why there is no clock lights. my guess is the previous owner that replaced the heater matrix hasn’t connected all up. But I thank him for doing the heater matrix behind the dash as I hate behind the dash jobs. cant think of much else (other than a big thanks to my mate for help and coffee this eve). Other than looking forward to being back on here and seeing some lovely motors. cheers all Aron ? (does any one know who this car may have belonged too in the past?)

1992 spec help
Semi purist. I would like the body panels to be stock, engine stock, interior remain. However, it will be on coilovers and wheels with some recaro buckets I’ve had since years ago and my Key!s Racing steering wheel. I kept all my manual bits and gearbox from old so they maybe put in at some point. I just want to tidy it up, and keep it clean. It’s a keeper.

1992 spec help
Hi all. I am collecting my 92’ Z next weekend. It’s currently wearing a kit that is...well not to my taste ? I would like to put it back to stock panels and was wondering if anyone had any pictures of what a 1992 import 2+2 LWB naturally aspirated Z looked like (I don’t trust google nor can I find anything concrete). any pics attached would be much appreciated ?? thank you.

Yes, first test drive I came back and looked straight at the MAF and it was loose. Tightened and was better. But less occasionally did the same thing. I am going to purchase a Genuine MAF too as the one on it is an eBay special! hoping it comes before I pick the car up next weekend. ? I’ll look into that plug thing ? cheers.

2k stutter
Hi All, picking up a 300zx after approx 15years without one. So firstly, I can’t wait to get back behind The wheel again. it’s a clean car structurally and the engine sounds in good condition. Although after a 2nd test drive (first drive I found the MAF hose was loose and a Vac pipe was off the drivers side intake pipe) it ran, idled and revved, however, it sometime stuttered at 2.5k rpm and almost felt like a ‘limp’ mode situation? I plan to drive it the 50miles or so home, but should be fine on the motorway as after 2.5k it’s alright. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated? car is a 92 LWB na auto ? thank you Aron.

project Z
Looking to get back into a 300zx again after many years of missing one. Ideally i need a project as i prefer to get it to my own standard. Looking for a rolling shell with or without engine/interior, as long as the shell is in fairly decent condition. Thank you.
