  1. A. Flux were £560......
  2. FunkySi, 'nother newbie here. Picking up my '94 n/a ZX on Friday. I'm 47, clean licence, full NCB, 3000 miles limited. Cheapest quote I can find is £536!!! Who are you with please?
  3. Exactly! If you don't like it, Fa#k off! and here's your bus fare. Sorry, still a newbie, but this stuff annoys me..
  4. Thanks. Glad it's not just me then.
  5. Thanks chaps. I know these questions are crap, but I need to get the wife to agree that buying a 160mph supercar is a good idea when we don't actually need one. What we really need is new fascia boards and a new bathroom suite!
  6. Well it was just my wife that tried the seats. She's 5'2" and fitted in the seat ok, but the seat back only came up to her shoulders. As you say tho' probly no-one grown up would want to go in the back anyway.
  7. I think I must be a member of the long leg short arm brigade. One other thing, my wife didn't like it cos there were no rear headrestraints. Yeah, I know wot you're all thinking but looking at it, the seat back is quite low and if I was taken up the rear end!!! then my daughter would have her head somewhere on the boot floor. Were rear headrests ever an option?
  8. mmmm....,I did have a good fart about with the seat switches, but couldn't say now whether it was on its absolute lowest. Won't let it put me off buying too much. If I can't get on with it I'll just graft a Mondeo column in, or something.
  9. Just been to look at my first ZX, a '93 TT auto. Looked absolutely spotless. £4800, a bit dear maybe??? Anyway, got in to have a drive but couldn't get my knees under the steering wheel. ( I'm 6'3" ) Moved the seat back to get legs in but couldn't reach the damn wheel. OK I know I could fit a smaller wheel and a spacer boss, but my wife want to drive it too (5'2") Couldn't believe the wheel wasn't adjustable. So, 2 questions, is price reasonable, and did any models come with adjustable steering columns? Cheers.
  10. John, all I really need to know for now is what mechanical changes I would need to do to the running gear if I was to buy a non turbo zx. Purely cos theres one for sale near me at the moment. I know I would need a full rear end but what about the front end? Presume TT brakes are bigger but maybe other things are beefed up too, suspension strut diameters and anti-roll bars etc. Or maybe the whole geometry is slightly different. If I've got to change too much stuff then I'll hold out for a TT.
  11. mantav8, actually I am thinking of getting rid of the engine and going to Chevy LS1. It's a ZZ4 block with eagle stroker internals and 3 pistons with holes in!! Trick flow heads, big wing sump, edelbrock cam, roller tipped rockers etc. Only got about 2000 miles on it. Looking for about £1500 for it. PS is that you from the v8 forum?
  12. Hi, John, I'm just about to start dropping my 383 stroker Chevy in a zx, when I can find one! Wanted to see your pics but when I click on them I get asked to log in again, and when I do it boots me out. Any ideas?
  13. Hello all, new starter here, I'm after a nice black zx to do an engine transplant in. I have the engine but decided to scrap the car (Granada), and put engine and box into something decent! After a lot of searching I'm still a bit confused as to what the differences between turbo and non turbo are. I ask cos there's a nice non turbo for sale near me at the mo. What would I need to change to get the running gear up to turbo spec? I read there are some bodywork differences too, are these cosmetic or structural? Any idea how much power (torque) the turbo axle will take. My engine has a supercharger fitted and kicks out around 500hp. Any advice gratefully recieved.
