  3. The revs are raising then dropping. This is happening constantly.
  4. Having some issues with getting my car running right. Wondered if there is anyone local who knows how to set up the basics like CAS, TPS etc and the erratic idling i'm having. Thought We had it sorted at the weekend, but it still doesn't seem right and wondered if someone could share their expertise before I start to run the engine in after the rebuild. We've got this far and don't want to screw it up right at the end. Thanks in advance. Ant
  5. Yeah we done ecu diagnostics check which showed the temp sensor fault in the first place. There is no warning lights when engine is running
  6. Brett at Custom exotics managed to connect my car up to a console of some sort to try and get to the bottom of the problems I’ve been having. Thought I would share some of the readings that were coming back hoping if anyone could help to see what’s causing this. When the ignition is turned on but not started the temp reading counts up from around 17c and goes up one degree every second or so. When the car is started the engine gradually rises to around 70c-80c but then when the engine is switched off the temp drops back down to around 18c again and then car won’t start - guessing because it thinks the engine is cold and is trying to do a cold start. The ECU before did give a faulty engine temp sensor which has since been replaced but the same error is still showing. Does anyone have any ideas to what could be causing this?
  7. I have new water temp gauge sensor, water temp ecu sensor and new loom as well. Definitely seems like its running on choke lol
  8. Having a fueling issue at the moment. Fresh rebuild which has larger turbos, injectors etc and a running in chip programmed for the changes made. The car is over fueling. The car starts fine first time and runs with no issues, once the car starts to get warm the car stalls and we can't restart it. There is a strong smell of fuel which you can smell from the exhaust as well. Friend spoke to John Dixon and he suggested that the fuel lines could be on the wrong way round going to the pressure reg and the damper. Checked and both were fine. Anyone have any suggestions or is anyone local that may have a fault reader that could pop down for a couple of hours or that I could borrow and test on the car please? The car is so close to being back on the road and hoping this is a minor problem.
  9. Getting there. Just a few little bits to get done and she'll be back on the road.
  10. Very very nice :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  11. Mine have turned up today :thumbup: Nice and shiney. Thanks again Daz for sharing this.
  12. I also have a set on the way. Your a star cheers Daz
  13. Me too Daz, It's the same need these to help finish things off
  14. No pics of the car as of yet as I didnt have the decent camera with me. But have one of the steering wheel I decided to go with. What do you people think? I'm still undecided on a gear knob and finding it hard to find one that I like :headvswal What do you people think of a billet steering boss? Still need to get one and not sure if they will look good.
  15. Ok, just a little update as it's been a long time. The car is all back together apart from putting the arch liners in on one side and getting the rear screen in along with the trim and bleed the brakes. Got a new steering wheel and handbrake cover to fit at some point (still need to find a nice gear knob though), along with the triple dash pod to go above the center console to replace the triple pillar pod. So better start thinking about insurance soon, as it won't be long now :)
  16. Just read what's happened. Didn't know what to put as a reply felt really gutted for you, but it looks as though you're back on track. Got my fingers crossed for you.
  17. Superb mate, pleased for you. Sounds and looks awesome.
  18. Very nice Daz. That's looking superb. What colour is that you've used because it goes very well with the black? Never been too sure on the rear engine cover but seems to not look out of place on yours. Really liking it bud. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh. :thumbup:
  19. Didn't get a chance to see it finished. Look forward to seeing more pictures. But from the pictures you put up it is looking very nice. Thanks for the comment mate and managed to get a picture of all 3 :thumbup:
  20. yeah I agree. When I had my first 300zx n/a, I sold this to get a scooby. While it was fun to drive for a bit, it wasn't the same as the 300zx. So got rid of the scooby and went back to the 300zx and not looked back since.
  21. I had trouble finding a colour and it was Scott who pushed me to go with candy orange as the colour. I really wasn't sure but glad I did in the end. Neally went with a blue but it has had been done before and wanted to be different lol. Feel free to copy what you want as you will be doing things your own way and would still look different as well as superb. I think many of the candy colours are really nice. One thing if you havent done which I found made a real big difference was to clean the rear of the headlight plastics and the metal thing on top :tongue_smilie: what ever it's called. As you see in the pic i think it makes a big difference. Looking forward to see more of yours as it progresses. Once you start you will want to swap clean and change everything lol.
