on my '91 TT, the calipers are black with silver lettering, lacquered bare metal. they look original, i don't think they've been re-painted. the marks you can see on the letters are machine marks.

can't make it to any shows at the minute, i'm lucky if i can manage to get one day off work a week. if they don't find me an asst mgr soon i'll be looking for a new job

was checking if the fluid was burnt again. i think the pick-up filter is getting blocked again, as it occasionally drops out of gear. i've parked it out the way untill i can get it sorted. unfortunately it means i have to take the train to work, although it is cheaper.

a mate has just fitted one of these to his skyline, with the optional boost module. your looking at £500 just for the unit. set-up is usually the same again, so buget for about £1000 all in.

i have a jap system on the car, stainless steel from turbos back, 1 cat each side, then joins into a small silencer, then into single backbox. i'm definately going to get the small silencer removed in the future, i would like to decat because of the performance gains, but concerned about the standard tubs. the car has done 33500 miles, i'm first uk owner with no history for car. all performance mods, except exhaust & bov's, removed before import. i think i'll save up for new tubs before i do the decat, then i won't be fooked if the tubs die.

think i'll give it a miss.

i read that they cause premature wear on the gearbox, is this true?

sorry, i'll have to wait for the mods to remove it. nevermind.
