Brake Noise
Had a similar problem to this my self. Have a look at the pad with the wheels off but still in the caliper. On my pads there are two little black wings (only way to describe them) on closest to the centre. One of these had bent in and was rubbing, have a look to make sure they are all level. Bent this back level and all was well. Other than an noise the brakes were fine and how it got like this i'll never know. Regards, Brent

Help! no stop lights
Just been out to look to see if I can find the new one Jeff put in. Found it behind the cluster imediatley behind the driver. It has wires going into it at one end only. There apears to only be one for all the lights at the back. There's a lot of space back there and the wire is quite long so it could have dropped down out of sight. It's about two inches long, an inch wide and 3/4 inch deep. Hope this is a little more help. Regards Brent

Help! no stop lights
Had a similar problem. Had the car a Zedworld over the weekend so Jeff could look at it and rewire if necessary (mines a Jap import and the wiring had been reworked) and he changed something called a "light module". No, its not a bulb for the quick whitted who might reply. I can only describe it as a little black box of sorts. You would need to get in touch with Jeff at Zedworld as to where its located and what it does, it had burnt out seemingly. Not very expensive. Regards Brent.

Oil leak found .... need advice
Its a Jap import auto and also had an oil change at the weekend. The money after looking at twinturbo.net is on the rear main seal. Cheers Paul. Having spoke to the mechanic now, its appears to be making its way out of a breather pipe in the starter motor. The thought is its pasing from one component to another as they spin and finaly getting trapped there and exiting. The car is thought to be drivable with regular fluid checks. I trust this guys advice and am interested to know how much this work would cost. Regards, Brent

Oil leak found .... need advice
Well, just got a report back from the mechanic who has been looking at the car this morning. The opinion is that the oil leak is the rear main oil seal. A mix of gold and red oil was found. Oil is blowing back through the starter motor and onto gearbox bellhousing. He thinks the job should take a day tops but is not in a position to do the job. Checked rocker covers etc and definatley no leaks there. Had to get the report third hand as I am at work, but I hope this makes a level of sense to someone. Any advise on how much this would cost to get done? Jeff, is this the kind of thing you could do on a saturday? TIA Regards, Brent

How many Zedders near Milton Keynes
Cheers guys. Start the job a week today. Only accepted last week so as yet havent made up my mind what to do. The areas right, cheaper to buy than in Surrey. Not sure whether to rent or B&B in the early stages of the probation period. B&B will save on the council tax and other cost. Got to look at location to town centre so I dont have to drive the Zed to far and can save on fuel. It currently drinks £80+ a week at the mo going to work. Want to live close enough to cut that in half. If all works out then all will be welcome round when I buy/rent. Got a cracking huge projector which I use for Computer/TV/DVD so all will be able to come round, down some tinnies and kick back watching Fast and the Furious two on DVD by then. Thanks again guys, good to know your all out there. Will keep yas posted. Regards Brent

Any thoughts
Oil before change was dark brown/black, oil on floor now light. brown plus a little crap it picks up on the way to the floor. Must be engine oil as this colour change would be consistent with the oil change. All guages in the car are reporting the same consistent values as ever, but I've read people don't put much faith in these. Turbos seem to run as good as ever, no unusual noises or such. Would the cam seals or gaskets be expensive and are the parts a mechanic could pick up easily? Cheers chaps! Brent

Any thoughts
Last week the car developed a small oil leak, only initialy noticable by burning smell as it dripped onto the exhuast. Had it looked at this weekend during a routine oil change but the source of the leak could not be found. Suspect the car had stood a little while and much of the oil had dried/cleared/evaporated/whatever with the heat following the run to the garage. The leak is much worse now as a result of the new oil being thinner (new). Warmed the engine yesterday to check its not all just my imagnation, its not. Nothing can be seen looking down from above the engine so having crawled under the car to try to find the source (with a tourch), and not get burnt, it would appear to be coming from somewhere on the drivers side, back of engine. A few wires around that area were oily looking after a short run. Head in through gap left after turning wheels to left. Somewhere above what looks like the oil filter. When left without running, very little oil is lost. Got the car booked in with a local mechanic where there is a pit to try to find the problem, I'll then consider how to fix it if he can't. What I'm after is some suggestions as to what it could be as a guide to what to look for. Thoughts, experiance and costs would also be a big help. TIA Brent.

lecky mirrors
It's a 3 position switch though. I'm convinced when I test drove mine a couple of times from the garage before bying, it would retratct the mirrors when the engine was switched off. I figured the alarm and imobiliser bought at the time of purchase had interupted the feature given the garage had made a pigs arse of everything else and just forgot about it. Regards, Brent

Still hesitating !!
I was suffering bad starting problems and hesitation when cold a little while back. This turned dampener. Only guessing but it was like a whole bank of cylinders was being starved of fuel. It's difficult to describe how to diagnose, not being an expert, but Jeff showedhe serviced it first that the small pipe furthest to the left on it pulled off easily and his term "was a bit damp". You might want to give him a call at Zedworld to ask about this. Regards, Brent;)

JeffTT'S gone missing
Hmmm, weird. When I went to collect the car at 3:00 pm there was a red Mondeo there. Bloody good body shop LOL. Can't say I saw it, but was so happy that Jeff had fixed my prob, could've missed first contact from another world, smile was so big. Did you see the zorsts on that other black beast that was there, had little gold jap writing front and back? Massive! Mines a standard black one too! Food and beer in Tamworth is great. Should really get a post (maybe not here anymore) together for when people are going to Jeff's. Everyone can meet up in Yates' for a few bevvies. Possibly another bar. Regards Brent
