shit happends tho bud, what p1ssed me off the most was the fact the car was coming off the road to be a second car and i was going to get an old banger for work, but the b@st@rd beat me to it lol

more pics And this is what done the damage I was on my way to work at 5.30 in the morning and what a cold frosty morning it was too. Believe it or not i was only doing about 40mph round a large sweeping bend, i got halfway round and the car went straight on, and onto frosty grass and over the ditch hitting the bank the other side. Not a scratch on me unlike me motor its a testimony to the strength of these cars, had a bit of a back ache since but thats about it.

I was only doing about 40 as well. Started going round a wide bend, got half way round and the car just decided to go straight on, on to and across the grass, too late by then its all out of my hands, then all of a sudden an almighty bang as the car hit the other bank of the ditch which launched the front into the air and coming back down where it stopped. The scariest part was not knowing where the car was heading in the pitch black. Never happends to the General Lee like that.

Heading southbound around midday sat 5th. Only got to see the roof and hi rise spoiler as i was on opposite side of road.

Thanks for replies, some food for thought there. Also had my eye on a 97 Audi A4 1.9TDi 145k miles and a 98 Passat 1.9 SE TDi 160k miles both around the 900 mark. Although her indoors does about 80 odd mile round trip a day and she recon it costing her about a tenner in her little 1.4 rover 200

Now that i've moved, the zed is costing a fortune to run to and from work, so it will be a weekend car from now on. So been thinking of getting a diesel run about possibly a diesel turbo 306? Any other idea's? :)

mines UK and still going strong allbeit with some minor cosmetic surgery. And my last zed was a UK and as far as i know is still about although the new owner blew head gasketts and put another engine in, so thats 2 at least :)

I would of thought having the plenum decreasing in size at the rear 2 cylinders would get colder air into them quicker as the rear 2 cylinders run the hottest
