  2. I'm voting Binbrook, looks more technical at least,as for instructors, mmmmmm, last time one was with me he turned white, screamed a bit as we negotiated a certain corner at Donnington at speed:Dgot another *****cking later ("NO FOOKIN WAY ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO TAKE THAT CORNER AT THAT SPEED,NEXT TIME USE THE BRAKE'S)got 87% marks for the day,so wer'rnt to bad:D you know what,i can still fookin hear him shouting:eek: :D This WILL be fun:D

  4. I dont mind either of them,but the" Doughnuts"look interesting:D :)
  5. :( sorry to hear of your woes mate, hard choice, personaly i would go with new/uprated turbo's as engine has to come out ,if you put in secondhand ones then you may be ok, but a few months down the line they may go to,50-50 chance that you will have to take, there are some places that can i believe change the turbo's without pulling engine but would not know if this would save you any money, might do if you getting second hand ones, then if they last a year or so will give you time to save for big tubs;)
  6. Fookin well funny:rofl:

  8. mmmmmm, just a bit pissed off lads as i cant drive me Z till its sorted,i have got withdrawl syptoms, its driving me nuts:mad: as for speedo ,if its got a intermitant fault like not working properly/not working at all/intermitant crap readings then car will go into a form of safety mode, hicas light goes ape, steering becomes heavy etc etc, same things can happen when speed sensor goes, but seen as it had a new one last summer i doubt if it will be this,:D ;)
  9. Ther web site is cack, only about 10% of stuff on there thats in the two catalogues(Motorsport/Performance):D

mmmmm, good question Steve, had me thinking of years back when making them, but i think i am correct in that they run cooler, there is a greater contact area,ie,roller length/size moving around the cone raceway, but becouse the roller is actually taperd and that its surface mirrors the profile of the cone raceway you end up with less friction/heat,.plus with a Taperd Roller Bearing the rollers are seperated by being enclosed in a floating cage, not like ball bearings which are allways touching each other and wearing out quicker, eventualy over time the ball becomes non round and struggles to move causing heat to build up,i have seen some of these just lock up like being welded together becouse of heat.Another thing is that being heat treated the surface of the cone that the taperd bearing runs against is very very hard, and will never ever wear out like a ball bearing and can withstand amazing amount of heat, hope this helps:) Tony
  13. I would go to Japan, find a suitable Z,take it to Top Secret, tell em ya want 1000bhp, then piss off and over everyone big time:D :D
  14. Sorry to hear this Andy, surely its not that bad here to go permanently, you being a lover of these great but sometimes tempremental Zs and all,pop back a couple times a week at least, bound to be someone needing help/advice that you could point in the right direction,i can understand what you mean concerning the site now,as i first came on here around a year and half ago, when yes it was a scream at times, certainly had tears streaming down me face, but i could allso read and see what some things led to,and yes its now totaly different, but knowledge is a great thing to have but only if shared, and sometimes bitting the bullet when things change or piss us off is the way to go maybe.Good luck to you, hope things go well in whatever you do:) Tony

Roller bearings are near bomb proof(only Timken ones:D i used to make em;) )the roller is profiled to match the profile off the race bearing, its the strongest way,the amount of loading they can take is way way greater than ball bearings, but its allso the most expensive to manufacture(SKF(Japanese) our biggest competitor were close but never could match the load/stess/destruction test as they could never get the heat treatment right,Timken bearings=the best in the world:D ps,they hold the world record for load/stress
  16. JAE,Billing:) 8 weeks back allready:eek:
