Good idea Pete,have looked at mine while its out,can see what they mean,where the holes are it does flex,ie metal moves back n forth slightly if pushed with your fingers on it,Nissan must of done it for a reason:rolleyes: not to clever TBH,price looks ok but the shipping is another question:eek: must weigh a fair bit:(

Taking the Z to my mechanic saturday:cry: and what did i notice,one of my Z caps that i got of Courtesy site has gone,now theres no way they could of got ot,was done up tight with the small locking spanner,if they did then they were hellish quick and clever,i have a feeling it worked it self loose and fell off,either way now got to get another set,:(

If i can nip over in the wifes 200 then i will be there,Z less as from today,its gone to be sorted, for about a month,will bring vid camera if i make it,;)

You were a little unlucky on sunday as up till then there have been a fair few Zs at the pod,i have been 12 times this year, 5 timeswith the ZCLUB drag challenge meets,and local/not so local meets,6 performance shows,including Japfest at CastleCombe and in one weekend clocked up 500 miles,sometimes i need to fit in other things:D ,but i know where your coming from,sometimes it does seem like apathy has set in when something is arranged and only a few if any turn up,the smallest meet i went to(200 mile round trip)was Mascrat Manor earlier in year only four of us,but at least i had an enjoyable run out in my Z,which is what its all about really,i think the best turnout for Santa Pod was ten Zs some were there for the drag challenge some not,does not worry me if none but myself go,just the sheer fun of driving through the pit lane as i call it and parking up in the middle of the escort/nova/renault/scooby/mitsi lads n piss em off with a damn fine looking sports car that will out run em:D ;) I am sure that sooner or later you will see a lot more Zs at the Pod if you keep going;)

Well i am on my third Z,i love em,crazy about em,even standing still with fooked engine i love it,i could have brain damage as the wife would say,but fookit who cares,makes me happy:D ;) :dance: :dance: :dance: :rofl:

Mine eventualy went this way,oil rings shot i think,try taking off oil cap (slowly,bit of oil splash)when its been running a few minutes,if you have loads of smokey trying to gush out then defo piston/rings i rekon:(

I say stick with Binbrook,and to be honest i cant imagine why he would prefer you not to book there,have they had problems if so what!,it would be perfect for a large group i would have thought,large run offs,wide straights,spot on to for those that have not done it before and at least there,s not going to be a million cones to look at spotted all over the place,and no 100mph cross wind:D ;) ps,its what you make it that counts,will be a great meet and have a good laugh that matters:cool:

There very rare and i got this one off ebay,a guy from the US was selling it,think it cost me around £160,thou i was out bid on one a month earlier,it went for £200 i think,its allso 4WD,and runs on a battery,1/10 scale,has adjustable coilovers,multilink suspension etc,great fun,will post pic when spoiler done and of the chassis:D

Well its finaly finished,i think my lad has done a great job with it,its taken 2 days alone to put the stickers on:eek:Goes like a bat outa hell:D (goes better than mine at the mo:( ;) ps,rear spoiler to go on yet..

On the set up i have it creeks like mad soon as winter/colder months start,so jack it up,spray silicone/grease etc all over joints etc,noise will then eventually go ;)

All good ideas,plus we should have our own Trophy awards,like say 3 moderators or the like,to asse's/mark those present over the two days,then combine the scores outa 10,find winners for catagories like, 1.Best overall 2.Best Modded 3.Best Stock 4.Best Series 1 5.Best series 2 6.The furthest travelled. 7.Members best Z Maybe include an AGM like the ZCLUB do Organize a Raffle to help with funds etc,get the traders on here to put up some tasty prize's,(crate of beer prize mandatory in anycase:D )Big sound system(gets the party going as it was a tad quiet this year,my mrs thought it a bit staide!!)Large BBQ,those turning up and wanting some to chip in and bring some food.Maybe some lights around the Marquee/tent like colourd neons/lasers shooting into the night sky with the words "300ZX.CO.UK":D a bit OTT maybe;)
