I'm tending towards option 4 at the moment, even though its a Honda which other than the Civic are pretty much universally owned by older people. The quote for just having me on the insurance was still £190, for a 12 year old diesel SUV, my BMW M6 was only £40 a year more than that!

Yeah I've done the usual, confused, meerkat etc etc I'm 47 with 9+ years NCD but my wife is a lot younger than I am and only passed her test less than 4 years ago. It drops to about £190 just for me.

Yeah I drive a 12 year old Honda CRV and refuse to pay £550 a year to insure it. There's pretty much nothing spirited about it.

Has anyone had any experience of these Telematics boxes? Specifically have you ever had your insurance premium raised or lowered because of one by driving well or not?

My M6 is the same and although there is a "quick" reset option its supposedly not an accurate reading and it can take up to 30 mins!!! of driving to get an accurate reading on the "digital dipstick".....wtf Mr BMW give me a frickin dipstick please!

Thats a bit of a shitter, at least no-one was hurt though. Hope you can get it fixed
