You have to remove the rear speaker brackets which involves taking all the plastic trim out of your boot. You'll also have to alter (cut) the rear speaker pods. Then you can get 6x9's in. Check the link for instructions, http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/stereo/stereo.html#replace

Now I'm intrigued, is every part that you guys have covered removable? Is it simple to remove all parts? I've got my door trim off when fitting component speakers and that was a bit of a mission!

Hey guys, just bought some beautiful 17" wheels from wheelmania. They are second hand and were originally on a Supra. The tyres are, 235-front 255-rear The guy has told me I'm gonna need spacers for the front pair 10-15mm thick? Is this right as sounds like a lot? Also will I need longer bolts for this? Ta in advance

When i first saw 2Fast 2furious all i wanted was a skyline. When you actually look into it the only one worth having is a GTR. Also insurance companies hear "Skyline" and run for the hills. The Z is a much better machine and only insurance group 18 for the Twin Turbo. What a car!

Did everyone see that Top Gear when Clarkson slated Z cars? I noticed they didn't have a 300zx in the studio. This led me to thinking, maybe he makes an exception for the daddy Z? Also he seemed to be pretty keen on the 300 when it butchered the 350z in the old vs new drag race show, Shouting "twin turbo" as it pulled away. Does anyone know his true opinion or ever seen him review one in a car show? By the way I think he is a legend, any different opinions? :bow:

Hey mate, i run an ebay business selling car audio and have a paypal business account. To upgrade to premier it is free but accepting credit card (as opposed to direct transfers from someone elses paypal account to yours) payments does carry a larger fee. Its worth it though if you take a lot of payments as many people won't have a paypal balance and it takes up to 10 days to pay money into your account.

You certainly don't get to use the power a lot on these b*****d British roads! I think dump valves appeal to the fast and furious in all of us. Also, who cares if it reminds people of RS turbo's. They'll be pleasantly surprised when they look up and see a phat Japanese beastie hissing away. They're on my list whether i get called a boy racer or not, (i think part of me is!) :shock:

I may have missed something, when you say "its not running right", what are the probs you're actually having? ie, lack of power/uneven power etc.

Yeah, Sony also do some that can play attrac3 music files. This is exclusive to Sony and is an even more compressed music format than mp3 and still maintains quality. You can ridiculous amounts on to a disc. If you go for a top spec Sony you'll get attrac3 and DAB radio.

Thanks for all your responses guys. I took my mechanic friend out to show him the prob and he seems to think all is okay. I think i'm just a bit over-cautious because its new to me. By the way your rides are awesome! I feel a bank loan coming on for a few mods! Nice one guys

Well i've finally done it. After a year of yearning i've gone and bought myself a Z! She's a 1991 twin turbo automatic on 90,000miles (Uk car). And yes it lives up to every expectation. Being a Z newbie I really need some advise from you legendary Zed heads. I got a good deal on the car as its on 90,000 and the turbo's have never been replaced. I was therefore aware that they would prob need replacing in the near future but the car was boosting just as it should. The only apparent defect was she was very "sludgy" for the first 2 mins or so from cold start. Today however, the car's only boosting to 7psi which I understand to be 'safety boost'. So guys, do i need new turbo's or are there any other obvious things i should check? If I do need new turbo's, where can i buy some at a great price? (i have a mechanic friend to do the work) Thanks in advance
