  1. sorry its been while, just goot round to making a continuity tester. can anyone tell me if there is a way too check the signal coming out of the PTU? the ptu is a known working one removed from a running car but just wanted to be able to rule that out. thank you
  2. sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, didn’t realise my car was being discussed here. why is it 99% ready for an MOT? i had 2x more kids since buying this, i should have never bought it in the first place but i have major impulse problems. I can’t afford it, I couldn’t afford it then and I can’t afford to run it now! it’s an honest car, i’ve only just now managed to fit all the timing kit, new belt, tensioner pulleys and aux belts... time and money are a major concern. I got all excited about finally being able to drive it to an MOT after i’ve freed up washer pumps, fitted new wiper blades etc and now it has a misfire. i’m emotionally drained with the car, can’t afford it anyway. it’s up in the air at the moment so anyone can get a clear honest view of the cars condition. i’m very tempted now to sell it for a sensible offer. if you have the time and know how im sure it will make someone A) a nice Zed and B) some profit. anyone genuinely interested please call / text me, would like it to go to a good home. i’ve preserved it for the community and not got to drive 😞 07507861732

Hi guys, hoping someone has had this and can shed some extra light. i’ve traced a misfire back to 2x neighbouring cylinders both getting no spark. known working plugs and coil packs have been switched and swapped to test and it seems to be the coil pack loom. anyone experience this? it’s a UK 93’ TT Manual thanks :)

  5. each piece was etch primed and protected as it was built up, took the guys ages, very impressed with them tbh! now time for, brake lines throughout, fuel lines, calipers rebuilds, all belts pulleys etc, full service, then MOT. I hope to have this all done within the next month or so, fingers crossed! then the non-mot bits can start but will take my time with those, rear arches, interior refurb, paint, spoiler removal (it’s rotten) would like to replace with an original one but haven’t seen any about for a while. Will be joining the club for sure, gotta have that sticker in the rear window ?

  7. small update; took 6 months to find somebody willing to do the sills but my gosh, what a cracking job they’ve done! if i could easily upload pics i would but haven’t got the time to fiddle right now. whwre does the count on UK spec Z32’s sit at the moment? there will be one more with MOT very very soon :D
  8. Theres a thing that looks like some sort of vent/ fan in the interior underside of the T bar roof section, what is it? It makes a really weird noise sometimes

I think i just had the same issue as you bud, i found this http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1126623/Fixing-the-Power-Window-Amplifier--Relay.html you have to break the case open to release the board from inside though it seems. The bottom picture is exactly what mine looked like, all i did was heat up that one blob with my soldering iron, move the solder about a bit, then added a tiny bit more solder. Havent tested it yet but im sure thats done the trick.

  13. that is really interesting to see! i hope my one hasnt gone that bad. The rust seems to be only around rear sills are rear pockets (either side of spare wheel) i will be paying for a good body shop to do the rust repairs anyway as i want a good, proper, strong and mostly Lasting job done on it so i can keep for a few years and not have to be worried about it going flinstone mobile on me lol

  15. Thank you Andrew, the door card is off at the minute while i was fixing the snapped door lock clip so leaving off until window is also sorted. i will take a look at that guide. do the motors/ regulators seize up much on Z32's?

  17. HI all, apologies if im asking a question that has been answered a thousand times before but i cant seem to find anything on his issue im having. The drivers window seems seized, physically stuck solid. the relay clicks but nothing else happens. I have only owned the Z for 4 days, unsure of its history but its clearly been sat for a few years. Any help greatly appreciated.
  18. Thank you for your comments peeps, This forum seems like a friendly bunch already ? Pics i need a little help with, been years since ive put pics up on a forum. Do you have to use a 3rd party pic hosting type thing? it used to be Photobucket when i was on DW back in the day but now looks like they charge a fee (im not sure whats more rusty, me or the Z lol) Also, Naz27 what is the name/ code of the colour your blue Z is? im pretty sure thats the same colour as mine but cant find any info on it anywhere online as of yet. The resto welding work will be outsourced so i cant take any credit for that but will be happy to post up pics ?
  19. Hi all im new to the forum but not to Z’s this will be my second, first was an immaculate white 2+2 JDM import however number 2 is far from immaculate. Needs extensive rear sill and rear pocket repairs, but, should be able to save her from the crusher! manual, Twin turbo & a UK car
