speedo delimiter? whats the difference? was confused about mine anyway as mine reads in km's yet is clearly in mph? whats that all about?

if you get the converted from kph to mph i beleive that puts the limiter out the window.

they only about 12 quid?

or chip the ECU, id do this, as can also do other things then (boos up!)

All japanese cars are restricted to 110 mph mate.

asuming yours is import, yours will do the same.

need to get it chiped, or converted to mph to remove it.

its got 'KPH' written at the bottom but its clearly in MPH when driving iv compaired at 20 30 50 and 70 all the same as my mates supra yet when i hit 110/112 (on the dial) i hit the 'wall' - the dials go up to 180KPH

It sounds like the speedo has had the resistor changed to read in mph, but wont de- restrict the 112mph limit. You will need to get a socketed and chipped ecu, basically means that the standard soldered chip in the ecu which controls everything electrical, will need to be replaced by a chip socket/receptacle to accept a remapped chip.

If the speedo was still reading kph then the £20 convertor from ebay would do the trick, but not as reliable as doing it properly with the upgraded ecu route. The convertor tricks the ecu into thinking its going slower than it actually is, but has some effects on power steering in some cases.
