Is their a way it can be adjusted to fit flush, its seems to really stick out and it doe'nt look bent to me.

shouldnt stick out, two little srews need ajusting if memory serves me

It sounds as thought the actual brackets / hinges are bent. You may need to tweak them with a bit of physical.

open the flap so to speak ,two phillip screws might be tight give them a tap first should be able to get enough ajustment on them.:)

so, these screws are on the actual flap? or the body of car?

they are the screws that hold the flap to the body. Undo the screws, move the flap, tighten screws.

I thought the two screws only adjusted the flap relative to the aperture.

check that the rod that whole flap hinges on hasn't come out of one of the holes.... that happened to mine... easy fix !
