Hi guys , my laptop is starting to get slower and slower all the time. Does any1 know of any good sites that offer free downloads of software to remove all viruses?

i have spyware doctor, i could put it on a disc for you. Bigmincey is supposed to be picking up a Primera disc from me so i could give it to him.

AVG is a free to download anti virus but i'd bet its spyware/malware thats the problem

I haven't heard from Alan for a while, he was looking for info on a Primera P12 so i said i'd copy the cd for him and he said great, then a few days later i said i would burn the spyware thing for you and give it to Alan and kill two birds with one stone so to speak. He must be busy or just forgot about it, i'm in Newarthill if you want to drop by or PM me your address and i'll stick both disc's in a jiffy bag and you can give the other one to bigmincey.

Run msconfig and have a look in the services and startup to see if there is anything in there you can get rid of.

 

Also check your ini files in there to make sure that some sort of malware hasn't added a few additional lines of startup code.

 

If this doesn't help and rogue prcesses are still appearing, then you're gonna have to clean your registry out manually using regedit.

 

Long story short it may be easier to actually pay $20 for a downloadable spyware / malware remover.

if it's got to this stage probally the best thing to do if a full format of the drive and reinstall your os, if you confident enough
