hello to all i have bought 300zx for doin a few trackdays and would like to up the power a bit is there any way of doin this with out spending loads of money on it .cause i do car racin and my season is over and this is somethingi can do with misses ive can get it to hangle well but power is what i need can anyone help regards marcm

cheep power plus zed's do not go hand in hand buddy. if your tracking it, the best thing to do would be uprate the brakes and suspension then power mods. neither of which come cheep;) i built my zed with track days in mind. have a look at my rides section for suspension set ups. if the engine is running sweet then you only really need to sort handling out to get decent times.

cheers man for your reply i can get the car to handle well i have up graded brakes mintec bads allround stonger springs 60mm lower gas shocks i have made camber change and caster and i have a buddy that does rally cross and i get tyres off him so you can see i have the car hangling very well so back to what i said all ready a bit more power is what i need i have bin on ebay and have seen power chips that up the power to 400 bhp regards marcm

There's no "power chip" that will add 100+BHP to your car. Have a look at some of the guys who have upped the power on there cars and your looking at a complete re-build, bigger turbo's, injectors etc..

even if the chip was able to produce that power, the other parts of the car wont be able to, the injectors will max out at about 370bhp, then the turbos

Put a performance air filter on it, straight through exhaust stage, 2 chip already in ECU and then either boost valves or boost controller (boost controller is better) that will get you up to 370BHP (maybe)

After that its the injectors, then turbos and full engine rebuilt

Sorry, i have to disagree. I have large bore mainfold,mongoose exhaust,HKS iinduction kit,super chip conversion running at a max of 1.1 bar.HKS intercoolers to handle 500hp an Apexi acv-r boost controller and im getting 395hp at rear wheels.

I have standard turbos and injecters and its still in one piece. Maybe it wont last as long and its not driven every day and so far so good !

I was led to believe that engines will go 500hp max befor doing anything to them.

ok heres where i am with power out of my engine i have being told to buy two breed valves and two boost gauges to boost my turbos to 14 psi this the max boost for the turbos and fse valve on the fuel rail to up fuel psi from 40 psi to 60 witch is the max pressure the fuel pump can produce but to keep the air fuel ratio right i have being told to run 56 to 58 psi. that is to keep air fuel ratio witch is 14.7.i have being told that if i do this and chip the ecu with a stage 3 chip i will get 385bhp but if i upgrage injecters to 550cc form the std 370cc i will know have 450bhp so guys what do you think right our wrong regards marcm
