Quite like the idea of them. But wonder if it will prevent airflow around the engine.

Yer, was looking at these myself but would it be an issue when it came to the MOT?

not a problem with mot, a lot of new cars have a lot more of engine bay covered with plastic covers.

i'd think there vould be a problem if you had them all cos they'd not be able to find the battery. looking at the pictures on lukes site i think they'd make the engine bay look sweet

no but the battery tie down is

no its not can only advise if tiedown is missing, and if you cant see battery or tiedown its not testable, you can only test what you can see because your are not allowed to dismantle any part of the car during the test.

ok cool.

Anyway back on subject. I want one lol

so do i,just the rear one tho to hide lpg conversion bits under.

I take it were talking about the rear engine cover, rather than the skinz ?

With the rear engine cover I'd have concerns over the possibility of higher enginebay temps from trapped hot air.

The skinz are a great idea though for changing the engine bay colour without pulling engine.

Cool, didn't know anyone had an lpg conversion done on here, how does the car run on it?

Personally i just like the engine only look thats going on the the skinz - really think it looks good but i bet its a pain in the butt having to take off and put back on if you have any under bonnet problems

I take it that its only the side bits that are skinz are they? I like the lot to be honest lol.

Might just get the side bits if the back could possibly cause me heat problems

i'd be interested to know how a z runs on lpg 2 and if there are any known issues or major drawbacks when running mods etc ??

.

yep rear cover got a nice set of vents for bonnet so that should help with heat build up.

Sorry to go back to the battery tie-down thing but just saw this quiz question online:

2. Your battery is loose and a fire could result because the live terminal could spark to earth. Would that result in an MOT failure?

a) Yes, anything the MOT Tester decides is a threat to road safety can result in an MOT failure.

b) Yes, because anything on the vehicle which could cause a fire would fail the MOT.

c) No, because the condition of the battery and/or its mounting is not part of the MOT Test.

Apparently the correct answer is C.

in the middle o doing lpg conversion just now so cant comment on z on lpg, but have done a lot of other conversions, most cars you wouldnt notice any difference under normal driving conditions but with some convertions you do lose a little bit of top end power. kit im useing you can combine the lpg and petrol so you dont lose any power, theoreticaly you can combine both systems which would give a theoreticl max power of 800bhp on the z (approx 400bhp from petrol and the same again from lpg).
