Another DVLA rip off

Relinquished my old paper licence 6 years ago, which was due to expire in 2039. Just found out now that the cheeky pricks force you to renew your picture after 10 years and charge you £17.50 for the privilege.

 

Just thought I should let EVERYONE know not to give up your old paper licences, otherwise it'll cost you £17.50 every time you are FORCED to renew it:xxx:.

    Can't you just change address (use a relatives) and then change it back a few months later, hey presto free licence for another ten years!

    You would have to be cheeky though and include a photo otherwise the amended licence photocard may still expire at the same time as the one sent in. Who knows they may just send you the new photocard with a new expiry, must be worth a go?
