Undo sterring

Ineed i think buy looking at it to undo the steering im taking the engine out due to replace tubs on lwb man 1990.do i leave all the pipes and stering asembly to the subframe but where do i undo the steering as it comes down the shaft or at the bottom and do i need to drop subframe and if so how much and where? cheers chaps . :D

    I did mine at the end of the shaft where the splines are as it goes into the rack, all the rest can stay attached to the subframe.
