Ok so I made me first buY from courtesY nissan and fu*** customs hav put on the box that it is worth $848 when the real price is $49.95c, charging a staggering £133.55 for the dutY, has this happened to anYone else?

 

Rob, Not happened to me, but may be worth speaking with Courtesy as I believe it would have been them that put the customs form and value onto the package.

Ok, what you need to do is ring - 0845 010 9000 (C & E National Advice Center) and ask to be sent out form 'CE 1179' which is the form you'll need to reclaim the extra duty. It normally takes about two weeks once recieved by Customs.

Oh yeah, and make sure you still have the invoice / sales ticket and the packaging showing the Customs label.

Ordered many things from them, no problems. Must just be un-lucky. Send them an email or phone, they will sort it out. Otherwise ask customs.

thanks for all the advice! I contacted courtesy regarding this matter and they were sure that they had put the right price of $49.95 on the box, its only a new manual gear shifter! I called customs and excise left a a message and also ups are investigating it, I havn't paid the duty on it so hopefully something will get sorted out
