Is Sky HD really worth the extra?

I have had Sky+ for three years now and was thinking of upgrading to HD but is it really worth the extra £ when there is only a handful of channels broadcast in HD?

 

Any HD people out there to give their 10p worth?

    I've got a spare magic eye if you want it?

    Its no use to me now as i have Cable.

    My dad asked to get Sky HD in a few weeks ago but the salesman from Sky said it wasn't worth it just now and advised him to wait a year and stick with Sky + in the meantime.

     

    He must be blind and not much of a salesman!
