i' have a xbox360 with the 60gb hard drive. what can i save on the hard drive, is it possible to save films /music / games on it. it is linked to the pc via a network and i can run films from a memory stick, just wondered if there is any way to save the films on the xbox HD

ive not adventured much with the 360's media (XBMC) capabilities because i still have a network of the series 1 xbox's :) i would be interested in finding this out too

you can defo put music on cos my mates done it, he listens to his favourite albums while playing, not sure about films, you might struggle to get them on there in the first place

you hook it up to your pc and can watch movies/pictures/soundtracks and stuff saved on your pc via windows media centre.

 

I use a USB pen in my car stereo with about 250 tracks on and you can plug it into your xbox and do the same there.

It'll do DivX and XviD no problem nowadays. And I agree - stream all your stuff from your PC to the 360. I have an external HD with a load of stuff on it hooked up to my PC, streaming over wireless to my 360 - works great! It's finally made my old Xbox and XBMC redundant ;)

I sill like old xbmc, didnt think the 360 had the divx codec?

 

same here ed. besides they are cheap as chips now! got one in lounge, office, all the bedrooms and one for spare incase one breaks :)
