engine cuts out when driving

started doing this yesterday car runs great then the engine just cuts out as if iv switched it off. i pull over and it starts again first time. there isnt any warning lights ect on and cant hear or see anything out of the ordinary is it likely to be the ptu i have a 1994 jap tt

Check the connection to the cas unit, right hand side front of the engine.

had similar prob with my 300.

 

i have a HKS induction intake kit and the foam filter was old and breaking up and sticking to maf sensor, thus cutting the engine as no signal for air was being sent to the ecu.
