OK All, Setlle down at the back there - got any (printable) quotes about you're Z?

Some time ago AndyP posted about Evo magazine wanting a 300ZX TT for a buyer's guide feature. Muggins 'ere got fingered for it so that's a Sunday wasted on an airfield somewhere instead of being in a pub watching the GP. Nevermind.

Point of the topic is this. Why don't you post here some short (and, please god, printable) comments about why you like / bought your Zed?

I'll be wittering at some length to the journos about why I personally love the thing to death but thought you would like to have your £0.02 worth. Which I will print and take with me.

BTW - if there's over-the-top-ness by slagging people or too many visits from Sweary Mary, I won't have the time to edit and probably couldn't be Barrymore'd anyway.

It's beautiful to behold and a pleasure to drive...it cruises steadily or goes like a train?; all for a measly few grand !

I bought mine because I had a few bob stashed away. What should I spend it on?? Girlfriend? Kids? House? NAAAAHHH! None of that lot wink.gif Let's get a sportscar, RWD, quite fast, at least 6 cylinders (I was bored with 4) and hopefully forced induction, oh and really sh!tty gas mileage too wink.gif. That should do!!

HE HE!!

Seriously, the real reason why I bought a 300zxTT is because back in 1990 when I was a kid (14) still at school, my mate's Dad had one. WOW I thought!!! One day when I'm older I'll get me one of those!!

Well, it took me 10 years and despite having a girlfriend & kids, managed to buy one. Have to say it is a nice car too. Not quite as fast as I thought it would be, I guess anything over 400+hp should feel more like it, but the handling is very good (err, not in wet, duff tyres see to that LOL). Much better handling than my old S13 200sx.

Brakes need some upgrades too as they aren't quite up to the job, but WOW!! twin-turbocharged V6 engine singing to me through 5" tailpipes is something else!! Goosebumps just thinking about it!!

Might just start her up now and wake-up all the neighbours LOL!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Is this what you wanted?? Oh, one other downside, you have to buy things in pairs, Dump Valves, Turbos, Intercoolers ETC LOL LMAO!!

Regards

Robert.

I only use the brakes so I can accelerate all over again.

i payed alot of dosh for mine and got exactly what i wanted,a convertable which doesnt get its roof slashed, ever!a car that does 0-60 in under 6 secs,a car that is very unlikely to ever be beaten at top speed,a car that gets admired and praised at everytime i take it for a spin, leather seats, full electrics, great handling and most important which ive never had before,A CAR THAT PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE EVERYTIME I DRIVE IT.

Im either in love or a mug as ive spent more on it than i payed for it.

jay

I bought it because it has Ferrari amounts of presence and near Ferrari levels of performance for Ferrari service money smile.gif

i bought mine back in april, i was lookin at supras, but at the time fast and the furious came out and supras appeared everywhere i seemed to look. i knew i wanted something that turns heads, a bit rare on the road, fast, and easily tunable.

then one sunny day i was driving around my local areas and counted i think 6 ot 7 supras in one day. then i saw it, a kitted up 300zx. within a couple of weeks i saw afew and bought a nice red one with momo alloys. the mileage was high but its got so much history.

there is about 5 other 300's in my area now two black, two silver, one maroon and my red one.

Thanks, Guys - off I go.

BTW I just noticed that Japanese Performance will be doing a 300ZX Buyer's Guide next month. So if you wanted to let them hear your £0.02, contact them sooner rather than later.

Cheers - Gio
