Hi, I have got to present my zed to the DVLA on Friday so they can check VIN number. Only problem is I can't find it and it isn't where I expected or where I've been advised. It's a '90' J spec and if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated. A picture would be best if that was possible.

Hope someone can help

Yes the vin is on the plate. it is also stamped on the bulkhead (drivers side) behind a wiring loom :)

Looked in both places and can't see a thing. So either I'm blind, looking in the wrong place, or there isn't one. Either way if I can't show DVLA have to assume I'm b@llocked. Anyone got a pic showing exactly where - please

Chrome plates now removed and VIN number apparent. Many thanks, now I can sleep easy :)

they didnt check my plate when i took mine in as they sayed it was easy to be changed for another one i was worried to as mines isnt fitted as it came off when the car was stripped down at one time

The vin number is always stamped on the car elsewhere aswell, so the plate really is'nt that important :)

yeah thats what they said when i was up the only check the stamped one. makes sense really when you think about it, i was going to put mine back on for the test but he said just to leave it in the car its more for my viewing than theres
