just had the car back from the local nissan garage to check all under

they say that the trip meter is not accurate it looks like it has been clocked that is all they found wrong so isant to bad its got standerd clocks converted to mph, had the car 5 wks with no probs with noise, cams are fine no marks on them ,any thoughts?

I could be well off the mark here, but it sounds like they 'found' a problem on purpose! :( TBH bud if it were me i would'nt worry at all! :)

Be aware that most Nissan dealerships don't have a clue about 300's. Be prepared for huge bills when something's up cos they'll change everything :( My advice is to look into finding a garage nearish to you that someone on here uses that knows 300's ;)

Plus most import 300zx have been clocked before they cross the water, i had two first was mint, absolutely spot on with no wear and tear then bought my second with less miles on but looked like it had another 50k on the clock from the condition. This one's got less miles than any of them and it's like a bag of bones to drive so mileage means nothing really on imports

when ever i here stories of nissan dealerships always reminds me of the story legrath told me when phoning up a nissan dealer for oil filter for a 300zx the chap at nissan asked is that a diesel! :mac1:
