underneath the lights as there is a massive hole directly under the light unit, i did have the units out at the time so it was easy to do it like that

I had mine under the nose panel Bri as the leads JUST reached, but when i had the bumper off i mounted them under the headlights, still within reach if needs be. :)

cheers:)

I had 2 sets on mine and they were amazing. Took them out tho. If you have a smash at night your insurance is void and you will have a major problem if there is a death :wack:

why would your insurance be void?

O yes i agree just worded it wrong, what i ment to say is even if it isnt you fault and they drift into you. you will have some serious explaining to do :(

why would your insurance be void?

Because the are ilegal and are for off road only. Even if you tell them its a big no no.

I spoke to a number of insures about them and even emailed vosa :(

know what your saying Dave but in my books driving these cars on a winters night with no street lights and its raining and your running standed lights its like playing russian roulett:( so ime taking the chance and fitting my HID,S

Somthing to do with them not being auto adjustable. so if you go over a bump they dip towards the ground and so on keeping a constant level. thats why as an option on new cars they are so expencive.

You will notice on new cars when they start up the lights will move up and down to find the right level.

Also the lens/ reflectors are made for the hid which ours are not so the light beam will be all out of shape :smash:

You could buy 99 spec lights tho. there next on my list

That what i said to vosa, and that the older cars should be reviewd like the zx and fiat coupe. Due to them being more dangerous. atleast our cars beam has a straight cut off line and reduce glare

But they dont care:headvswal

Your a ray of sunshine on kev's thread....suppose you have just put many off HID's now, put me off for sure, but I dont drive at night that much so dont matter to me:tongue:

I would say.. your honor. i am completely unaware what HID's are, all i know is i have headlights on my car and they were working as they should be, im confused... lol

yep,

This is how I bought the car your honour, i thought the headlights were meant to be like that

HID's = One of the best Z32 upgrades you can buy!

While moving cars about the other evening, I noticed a nice example of the difference between HID lights and decent Standard Halogen lights. So snapped a couple of pics with my phone.

In first pics Im standing in inbetween my Zed on the left with 6000k HID's and my Celica on the right whose headlights are FAR superior to the zed stock headlights.

It was'nt as dark outside as it looks in the pics and If I had a zed with stock headlights you would barely see any light on the fence at all!

If you fit a set of HID's to a 300zx it will pass Mot. If you fit a set of HID's to a regular car without ellipsoid projector headlights it will fail MOT !

Its becuase of the beam pattern, look how sharp the cut of is in my pic above thats exactly how it should be, but if you fit them to regualar cars the beam pattern will be all over the place and cause lots of glare. HID's were designed for ellipsoid projector headlights and should not be fitted to other cars, and thats where the law fails, its to general.

Very true. Mine passed MOT ok.

Don't fit HID's to your full beam or fog lights though. :x:

I think it depends on the wattage of the bulbs used whether or not the fit is legal ? ACK just read the above posts - looking for the trash button *LOL*
