ok, i know its been asked like a 1000 times before, but what do you think??

i know about the risk to the turbo seals.

how many have gutted the existing cats??

whats the performance increase like?? is it worth it

has anyone done it on a post 92 (mot cat test) car & checked emissions?? are they still within limits??

getting me new mongoose next week & thinking about it now, what do you all think??

im doing mine mate my brother has done his what a power increse.we have both done some engin mods ive got jwt chip twin entery air filter mongoose exhast next week to .

Did mine within a week or so of doing my Mongoose and all has been fine for the past 11 months or so. Only prob is that with the Mongoose and decat pipes you have two totally separate exhaust systems with no link whatsoever between them. I had to engineer a bit of creative adjustment to ensure that the RH pipe didn't swing too much and bang heavily on the fuel tank !

My car is de-catted with various mods and outputs 1.3co, the limit for a 1992 car I'm told is 0.3 (please check this). If I'm correct then my car would never pass the mot if it was made 1992 onwards. (pre 92 is a 3.5 limit).

I think some guys on the us forum pull some pipe off to reduce emissions during the test, naughty - but I'm not sure if it really has much of an effect or not!

I thought there are some people on here who have gutted/decat pipes and pass the MOT with no problems.

But isnt the danger of the turbo seals blowing high.

Will it make EVERY turbo start blowing its seals with in a few months, or is that just a few unfortunate people it happens to?

i bought new turbos with the staggered piston seal from smithy. these seals overcome the problem when you take the cats off like i have as well. no problems yet.
