hi guys and galls ive been reading a thread on this section ref the aux cooling fan it says that it should run when you first start the car but mine isnt the fan is ok and ive changed the relay in the fuse box could anyone please help on this matter:)

You've mis-read it, aux fan only comes on when ecu thinks you about to over heat. Or when using air-con for long period of time the aux fan comes on on low speed to assist cooling.

:)thank scott sorry i miss red it so if i leave mine idleing will it cut in then as i lef it running for a long time a while ago and didnt cut in

You don't want it to come on, on means heat problem. But saying that if you are worried about it not working, you can disconnect the ecu temp sensor connector with just the ignition on, when you do this the fan should come on. If it does all is ok. If not you may have a faulty or some blockage on the fan.

The engine driven fan is pretty good itself for cooling and the aux one will never come just on idling unless it is really warm weather and a high aircon demand is also going on.
