just noticed that my car doesnt seem to be locking when i press the fob for the alarm, the keys have never been used to lock it since iv had it(just over 2 years) so i cant use them as they wont turn lol. it does lock if i push the button inside so the mechanism is working what could be causing it tostop working off the fob?

is the battery dead?

nope everything is working fine the alarm sets but just doesnt look the doors

My passenger door stopped locking when the drivers did via the key but locked from inside.

 

I unplugged the battery negative... 1 hour later reinstalled and magically it worked again

battery has been out and in a few times recently but hasnt changed it. im not 100% sure its ever worked i can remember a few time my gf setting off the alarm on it by opening her door before i pressed the button so maybe it been a problem for a while not something i ever thought of checking till now lol

Do you have a uk factory alarm ? If so i also have one and have a disarm switch in the centre console, have you tried turning off and on. It's a key switch.

Other than that a fuse may blown, i don't know where the fuse for the central locking is though.

alli know is that its a toad alarm was fitted at a place localy b4 i got it. i thought it may have been a fuse but it stillworks when i push the button on the inside

ah toad alarm. I used to have a Jap model a few years back and had to get an alarm/imobiliser fitted for insurance. The alarm system couldn't be hooked upto the central locking because of the way it worked. Are you sure the alarm fob has been locking the doors at all ? In which case get some wd40 in the lock so you can start locking the car up.

if you have a toad alarm fitted you have to have a seprate motor fitted into the drivers door to make the central locking work with your remote had to fit this when i fitted my toad system
