Just wondering where I would take a scrap car to be weighed in for good old hard cash? I asked the local scrap metal place and they don't buy steel.

Yellow Pages should give you some places.

scrap dealers are divided in to two general groups.

Non Ferrous metal dealers

Ferrous Metal dealers.

Scrap cars fetch around £100 to £150 per ton depending on the state of the market. Always ask before arriving as market prices do fluctuate
