Does anybody know if there are any differences between UK & Jap spec air conditioning systems? In particular the pressure release valve and the receiver dryer? Mine are knackered and need to replace asap.

 

My car is a UK manual TT on a H plate if it matters?

The gas in the Jap system was R12 and so the fittings for the system are slightly different if I remember correctly - other than that its the same.

I have Uk car and that has R12. I've also been informed that R12 won't be available at all in a couple of more years, most dealerships don't have it anymore. I get it via a friend who works in refridgeration. If i were you I'd find out what you have now, R12 or the newer R134, If R12 get it converted. Which will change the fixings etc to R134. I think the rest of the system is the same. Also noticed recently Z1 in the states are selling oem air-con stuff alot cheaper than we can get it from nissan.
