Not all IT is sitting on a help desk, that is really sodding boring and also crap cos all you get is **** hole incompetants getting ratty with you. And you can't fix it cos you don't have the rights or knowledge to fix it (in most cases), so have to talk to the systems guys who are about as sympathetic as Saddam Hussain. So either way you're fooked. smile.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I got off the helpdesk ages ago, I'm obnoxious comms/net admin now. smile.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Luxury yes, sympathetic no. smile.gif biggrin.gif

Helpdesk is funny, it's like the IT version of cult initiation. biggrin.gif

I got passed the fire wall at work.

Put in the proxi address in the Messenger setup. When I tried at work it says can not conntect as soon as I try. But I when I click cancel it still connects. biggrin.gif

That is how shit they are in our Computer department.

Stuart.

I think my staff are getting their own back. I usually swan around in Project Management which is the ancient art of getting anybody else to do the work and you get all the credit when its done!
