Wad'ya think? Is it the one?

Just visited a Japenese performance importer in Newbury because he has a 300 (along with 170mph Supras, Skylines, GTiR's and every Mitsu under the sun). Its 'H' reg, dark blue, 50k miles, 2+2, blue full leather, TT, excellent condition, full history, full documents and all this at £5995. I'm put off by the auto box..but I was still well impressed with its performance (I've not been in a manual yet.)

Failing that he can import a 300 to my own spec' and would expect a wait of about 3 months. Should I wait for him to find me a manual?

The manual box may not,as i have read on some posts be as reliable, but it does allow you better 0-60 times, personaly i prefer the auto, and as for waiting 3 months, would be a nice xmas present!tuff decision!.Good luck with whatever you get.

Hmm, having 'slept' on it I think it was more of a 'this one is available now' situation regarding the auto..I'll wait for him to find me a manual. They do servicing for all Jap' cars and can get parts in 4 days from Japan..(not wanting to give them free advertising so I won't name them - Vehicle Buying Japan Ltd, Berkshire rolleyes.gif )

Don't believe a word wink.gif The manual box lasts longer between rebuilds and can take masses more power increases than the auto box... Not wanting to start an auto/manual debate but I would recommend trying both first before you end up regretting your decision in the future....

I wouldn't really be looking at the 'out an out' power difference between the Manu & Auto..its the driving enjoyment factor biggrin.gif..I don't see the autos as being as much 'fun' to drive..I would prefer to change gear myself!

I can get you a manual 300ZX 1992 for about £6000, and get in about 8 weeks.

If your interested let me know.

If youve got a little more money you can have a mint manual RX7, which has just arrived, and this car is immaculate.

How much more are we talking..£10k, £15k? Interiors are nice on the RX7's tho'.
