Just letting you know mate, back in the hangers at all last with my maths, physics, aerodynamics and materials and hardware EASA's under my belt! I started back in the hangers 3 weeks ago, got put into the composite shop until the overhaul starts picking up around October....absolutely loving it!

Is it a big set up there?

 

its a fairly comprehensive setup but not alot happens here anymore (since fls shut up shop)... no work at all goes on during the day in the hangar other than aog's... we have a crew of about 15 carrying out over night checks on easyjet 319's... tis a tight schedule though for the down time and if we dont get it out on time CHA CHING for easyjet, big fines we have to pay :rolleyes:

Oh right we have 6 hangers one leased to ryanair at the moment after a high court decision. Around 1200people working here! Our place is on the go 24hours a day constant

indeed... iv seen your place a couple of times.. lots going on there! ryanair have built a brand spanking new hangar right next to ours... i can see many engineers strolling over the road for a nice wedge of cash! ryanair are even trying to buy a stake of stansted airport itself from baa lol

 

btw, did you know that the owners of srt bought an $8billion share in general electric? thats HUGE for the company!

Yeah thats prob why we have to cut back on spendature by €5m ha ha! Ah yeah its a decent set up...Ryanair are i think building a hangar in dublin airport as there ld one wouldnt fit one of there planes into it! Used to look really funny sitting half in the hangar!
