Hey all want new injectors but what to go for? I'll never need more than 555's but I have read negative things about them failing alot...

740' s would be running at 60 versus 80% but are a couple of hundred quid more expensive?

Are the 740s worth the extra?

Cheers

The nismo 555's failing mate is really in relation to the US who have an addative in their fuel which nismo's just don't seem to like.

555's can be fitted in literally any model zed ( providing you buy the right ones, lol) whereas 740's in an early Zed will require a new fuel rail likes of the 300 degree one. But certainly don't be put of ny the 555's, there are shit loads of guys in the UK using them without any probs ;)

Its the early pintle style injectors (same as stock) that have the failure issues.....the same failure issues as the Stock injectors, and its mostly in regards to the U.S becuase of the ethanol(I think) content in their fuel.

The later pintle-less style injectors do not have this issue.

To fit the later style injectors (that includes 555's and all other sizes) you would require either the later style lower plenum and fuel rail....or the aftermarket 300-degree fuel rail.

Incase your interested i have nismo 555's done 70 miles and tempted to up to 740's , got big turbos fitted. So could sell them cheap for you, just an idea

Thanks all would I be missing out on anything with my Z1 600s if I went for the 555s

ive got the 555's and running the GT600R turbos from Z1. Trust me......the thing pulls like a train!

Are you looking at getting the most you possibly can from your turbos or are you looking at running a bit of power and still being able to put the power on the ground?

I was hoping to run the beast at a level where it was very quick and not likely to blow up... Thanks Shrek thats all the info I needed will get some 555's. And get the most out of the rev range as well.

P.S. mate how are the shocks? happy with them still?

What duty cycle are you running, if it's above 80% then you may as well get the 740s?
