hey all how can you tell which are installed i bought my car and was told it had 555s in it but the garage are telling me that they cant take the map any further as my injectors are max d out they have purple tops which i thought were 555s

no they have it mapped at 375?? They have not lied to me before and the bloke I bought the car from put it together witrh a spoon so nothing would surprise me

theyre square I have a relpacement loom but with the right plugs for a 90 TT

555's are Purple....however your cant rely on the colour as I have seen Standard injectors also in purple.

 

375 at rear wheels I presume ?

 

They may be allowing a max of 80% duty...or are they saying its hitting 100% duty ?

 

Are you using stock ECU..with what Chip...or are you on standalone ecu ?

there is NO visual difference between nismo 555's and stock 370's

 

both are purple when bought new

over time, both degrade in color to brown or darkish grey

 

only real way to tell when not certain is by doing a flow test

(you can do a rough flow test yourself)

can you post your aem map? I'll take a look at how they've configured it
