Can any one help, ive had an alarm fitted on the weekend took it for a drive to work and back today but the auto box will only go in hold mode and is only using 1st and 2nd gear, ive tried to do the diagnostic test but cant get it to work could the alarm guy have done something, blown a fuse or disconected something any ideas would great.:headvswal

does your speedo work ?

 

check the fuses under the bonnet !

Yea speedo is fine, all the fuses are ok

there are three plugs on the inner wing on the o/s check they are plugged in plugged in properly !

will check now.

Naa all plugs connectors are fine.

when you first tune the ignition on how many times does the power light flash ?

It dosent come on at all now.

perhaps its the actual g/box ECU itself !

Where would that be located.

under the false floor by the passengers feet ! its the smaller ecu

Could it be repaired or would you say i need a replacment.

Does the hold light come on? I wonder if the switch is damaged?

 

On another note if it is using hold mode, then it cant be using 1st, in hold the autobox moves off in second.

 

If its using 1st and 2nd then it aint in hold.

Yea the hold light is coming on but only the hold light, umm unsure what gears its using then..
