Ran it on mine, found some 115 items, havent done a scan for a while, only problem is to then remove the items you have to pay for the privelidge.

Good luck alan it may remove the bits you want anyway.

fook all, i need to get my laptop reinstalled, my avg has it qaurintined, but im sure its still lurking about somewhere

i always use avg 8.0 free edition complete antivirus program free updates and never asks for a penny !!

Ok,

I keep getting a little notification pop up thing in the bottom right hand corner task bar thingy to say that Windows has detected spyware, is there any way to get this to go away?

I downloaded and ran the Spy Hunter one which seems very good, it picked up that the trojan horses and fakes, I went in to the places where these were and just simply deleted them.

there is one that won't let me though.

Its in C:\WINDOWS\System32\blask.dat

When I try to delete it says it may be write protected or in use. The properties don't look like its write pretected (read only) or anything

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

although my virus knowledge is not superb i'd say it wont let u delete it as u could the others because it's in ur sys 32 files> (quite important)

take a peek at the bit defender site it has anti virus scans and free virus removal tools for download it's always sorted mine out !

(although am sure someone may give u a easier way )

hope this helps ;)

it didnt get sent, something to do with max download or something

I've compressed the spyware doctor (rar file) if you want me to re-send it to you pm me your email if it works you can send it on to the others who are having problems. Your AOL email only allows 15mb for files i've compressed it to 14.1mb so hopefully you will be able to get it. Or if bird wants to pm me his email i'll send it to him.

On the back of this when I try to go online the PC tries to install or run Microsolf Office Proffesional Edition.

Anyone know why?
