Hi, my electric arial failed on my car and dosnt go up or down.
I bought a replacement from my local car audio place and installed it following the instructions but was told not to power one of the cables using the remote wire on my subwoofer as it would burn the motor out on the aerial. I ignored this advice and it worked fine for two or three months.
However, it has now too failed.
Originally i tried to power the new aerial from the power supply to the old aerial (cars factory wiring loom) but it didnt seem compatibale.
My question is... If I replace the aerial with a direct replacement from the Nissan main dealer will it work with the original connections, or are the replacement power aerials the same as factory ones meaning something is wrong with the power cable and not the actual aftermarket aerial itself?
Thanks for your time, i look foreward to your responses
