People with Classic Car Insurance on Z

Is one of the clauses of the insurance that it has to be garaged at night?

I just enquired and thats what they said.

Is it the same for every one else? If so what do you do? Our garage has no chance of putting my Z in. Most garages round here have no chance of putting any car in. frown.gif

no im with firebond.co.uk and insured for driveway parking (car has to be on drive 50% of the time)

Mine was on the 300zx - and if the car was within a quarter of a mile of my house between 11pm and 7am it WAS NOT covered for theft so watch it if you are saying that it is garaged for a cheaper quote, you can come unstuck in a major stylee frown.gif

Or your out at the cinema catching a late night show??

Insurance companies - today lesson was bought to you by the letters F & U!

Trev

Another little worry,as i found out, make sure that your policy or schedule states its an import(or nissan fairlady z)tt or you will get stuffed good and proper it nearly happened to me,alot of insurance companys say," yes we can insure it",just to get you on ther books,if the original quote/schedule acceptance is signed and it only says 300zxTT,then you are stuffed,on the second company i used they still did'nt get it right,so i ammended it and sent it back and made a copy just to cover myself.TonyC

This what gets me really when they phone the insurance company and say their car is a 300ZX and when they find out its a Jap import people say they didnt ask if it was.

But the think is 300ZX is UK, Fairlady is Import. Really people should say Nissan Fairlady, if they class that as a UK car, thats thier problem.

Back to the point, I dont think I will go for the classic, plus they said you have to have a 2nd car, thats why I was enquiring. But I think they said that usually the give you the full NCB on your 2nd car too, which is what I want really.
