Why don't you save yourself a whole bunch of cash, keep the Z and buy something like this as a DD.

 

Apparently the Smart car MPG isn't as great as it appears anyway.

 

Get a good 306 HDi

I agree with Si, i'm looking at a nice little 306 HDi at the moment, good mpg, stupidly cheap to insure as well and you can pick one up from about £1500-3000

I don't really have anwhere to park 2 cars on the side of the road. Would need 2 permets and there are trees etc so needs a cover from the sap etc. Not sure if the Z would look great after a while :(

And don't forget this is for 90% city driving.

You want a Honda Jazz then. The best small car ever. Reliability 100% in the JD Power surveys. :bow:

 

Our family has quite a few of them they're so good. Well specced as well with aircon, sunroof, CD, PAS, EWx4, 50mpg taking it steady.

Buy a cover for the Zed and get a push bike

LOL! you will spend more in repairs than you save on fuel!! engines are good for about 60,000!!! oil pressure goes, turbo goes & bottom end goes! check for rattles & smoking ;)

We've got one and it rocks! As close as I've ever come to free motoring. £35 a year to tax, £120 for me and the Mrs to insure, used daily but only filled up about once every 3 weeks. IF you go for a 'passion' you get all the toys too. Ideal for driving around London.
