Down pipes.

My exhaust is starting to blow, damaged caused by high speed bumps I think. It was pointed out to me when I got my MOT. However when looking at it, it looks more down pipe than exhaust. How far back does the down pipe go?

If it is the down pipe, and I have to replace them, should I go decat or not? In the end is the damage it does not worth it?

The downpipes go back to the front of the cats afaik. If you are confident that ur turbo seals are in good condition then go for the decat, you will gain power, but know that it will put more stress on the seals.

Hmmm, dont know about the seals you see.

I have no history of the turbos being changed, but there was a hole in the history for 2 years, which I am now thinking they may have been done then.

My car has over 153,000 miles in it and suposidly the original turbos, but my car does not lose 1 drop of oil, so the seal seem very good and thats why I think they are not the original turbos.
